As a System Administrator / IT DevOps Engineer, you ensure that your customers’ training systems run reliably, securely, and efficiently – and you continuously evolve them. Working in an agile SCRUM environment, you collaborate closely with colleagues, trainers, and developers to actively shape the future of virtual training solutions in an industry where innovation and quality truly matter.

• Administer and develop IT infrastructure – you operate and continuously improve our IT landscape with a strong focus on Azure Cloud.
• Build and maintain automated deployments – you ensure stable and scalable provisioning of virtual training environments.
• Develop and optimize PowerShell scripts – you automate processes to increase efficiency, stability, and system quality.
• Manage and analyze networks – you take responsibility for network operations, including structured troubleshooting (e.g. using Wireshark or nmap).
• Ensure monitoring and system control – you keep an eye on performance and availability using tools such as ICINGA and Lansweeper.
• Maintain high service quality – you support colleagues and trainers with technical questions and ensure smooth system operations.
• Implement security requirements – you handle security-relevant topics responsibly, including security exception handling.
• Document processes and solutions – you create transparency and support sustainable knowledge transfer within the team.
• Collaborate with trainers and developers – you work closely with internal interfaces to provide tailored virtual environments.
• Maintain VMware environments – you are responsible for operating and further developing existing virtualization solutions.

Your profile

• Strong expertise in Azure Cloud and virtualization – you are confident working with modern cloud and virtualization environments and understand their operation, structure, and continuous improvement.
• Experience with PowerShell and automation – you use scripting to automate recurring tasks, standardize processes, and sustainably increase efficiency; version control with Git is second nature to you.
• Solid network and storage knowledge – you have a strong understanding of network architectures and storage concepts and approach troubleshooting in a structured, solution-oriented way.
• Knowledge of monitoring and IT security – you have hands-on experience with monitoring tools, identify anomalies early, and reliably implement security requirements.
• Experience with virtual training environments – you have built, operated, and continuously enhanced training or comparable virtual environments.
• Excellent communication skills – you explain technical concepts clearly and collaborate confidently with colleagues, trainers, and other stakeholders.
• High level of self-organization and initiative – you manage your tasks independently, set priorities effectively, and proactively drive topics forward.
• Strong team spirit and motivation to shape change – you enjoy working in a team, sharing knowledge, and developing new ideas and solutions.
• Completed IT-related qualification – a degree or comparable professional training in an IT-related field.
• Several years of professional experience – ideally in system administration and/or an IT DevOps environment.
• Very good German and English skills – written and spoken.
