On August 5, 2025, we welcomed over 30 participants to our agile AI after-work meeting “AI in Software Development” at sepp.med in Röttenbach. In an open, friendly, and very pleasant atmosphere, a lively exchange quickly developed between customers, partners, and colleagues.
A particular highlight of the evening were the presentations by our customers:
In his presentation “Generative AI-enabled Software Development”, Siggi Wach (Siemens Healthineers) impressively demonstrated how generative AI supports software development within the company and opens up new possibilities in daily development work.
The presentation by Alexander Frenzel (Fresenius Medical Care) also met with great interest. Under the title “The Test Case Monster Under Control: Concept for Creating AI-Generated Tests”, he vividly demonstrated how AI can help make the complexity of modern test case analysis and test case engineering manageable.
These customer presentations were supplemented by further presentations by sepp.med, which highlighted the use of AI in testing and development support and provided insights into the MBO KISS research project. The subsequent discussion round made it clear how relevant and practical the topic of AI is for current and future software projects.
The feedback from participants was consistently positive. With an average overall rating of 4.6 out of 5 points, particular praise was given to the speakers’ technical expertise, the practical and entertaining presentations, and the open, informal atmosphere. Several responses also emphasized the added value of the discussion round and confirmed that expectations for the event had been met or even exceeded.
The successful technical part was rounded off with a relaxed conclusion. Over refreshments and bratwurst from “bratwurst world champion” Jürgen Reck, discussions and networking continued, and the evening came to a close in a relaxed after-work atmosphere.
