Model-based testing (MBT) is a proven method for achieving high test coverage with minimal effort. Rather than maintaining individual test cases manually, a central test model is created from which test case specifications and automated tests can be generated in any implementation language. This reduces error-prone routine tasks and ensures consistent test artifacts, particularly in projects with many variants or frequent changes.
This workshop teaches the practical skills needed to create effective models using a structured approach, including selecting the appropriate model type, building reusable structures, and integrating MBT into agile and traditional development processes. The MBTsuite is used as the tool. However, the learned approach can be applied to other environments.
No prior experience with the MBTsuite is necessary. Basic knowledge of software testing is sufficient to get started.
