The RNZ Radiology and Nuclear Medicine Center commissioned sepp.med to conduct a concise, interview-based GAP analysis to assess the implementation of the current NIS2 Directive. The goal of the project was to conduct a structured assessment of the current status in relation to the relevant NIS2 requirements without disrupting ongoing medical operations.
During a workshop, the status of information security implementation was systematically documented and evaluated using a defined maturity model. The analysis covered twelve key areas, including governance, risk analysis, incident handling, backup and emergency management, supply chain, access control, and auditability.
The results were documented in a structured final report and presented to management in a clear and accessible format. The GAP analysis provided clarity on existing strengths and identified areas for improvement, thereby establishing a solid foundation for internal assessments and potential next steps in the context of NIS2 requirements.
The challenge was to use a one-day in-person, interview-based workshop to systematically map out an existing IT and security landscape and assess it in light of NIS2 requirements. The goal was to systematically evaluate existing technical and organizational measures, clearly identify gaps, and document the results in a transparent manner – without disrupting ongoing medical operations.
The RNZ received a well-founded, realistic, and transparent assessment of its current NIS2 maturity level. The GAP analysis provided clarity on the current state of implementation and identified key areas for action. The documented results serve as a structured basis for management to make decisions and discuss potential next steps in the context of NIS2 requirements.
Upon request, sepp.med can also provide targeted guidance and support to your company in analyzing the results, interpreting them, and planning and implementing specific measures. The scope and structure of such support are determined based on your needs and the specific project.
